Visited arches and excellent dinner in your restaurant
Bed was a bit hard. Would enjoy more comfortable bed
Serenity in a spectacular setting. Only disappointment was very weak wifi, but if you can let the world go, you'll be very happy.
Couldn't sit on dining deck except for dinner. It should be available for guests for picture taking andjust cocktails. Kitchen too bare. Not even paper towels. A better wine opener. Tell guests that t he winery is not connected to the hotel. I had to make 2 trips to the winery to purchase a bottle.
There were no screens on any of the windows. When I asked about this I was told that the owner took off all screens a few years ago, sorry. So no fresh air. Also the rooms face the river so to hear it would be nice. You couldn't leave the windows open without the screens as there were beatles, wasps, and lizards on the deck and they would come in the window. There is also no soundproofing. We could hear the people next to us walking around and talking and it was loud enough to wake us at 5:30am from our sleep. We had to turn the tv on loud the night before to drown out them walking and unpacking. It sounded like they were in our room. There is also no attention to detail. It seems like the owners just want your cash and are selling you a view of the river. I would not stay here again nor recommend it.
Incredible location. Great restaurant and winery - if you like red wine try the Outlaw Red. Delicious. Would love to go back.
A beautiful setting on the Colorado River with excellent facilities, a good restaurant and very friendly and helpful service.
The location is great with beautiful scenery. Pool was nice.
Too pricey for what you get. Beds were very uncomfortable. The main lodge where you eat was very hot and had alot of flies.
The beauty of the setting.
The water has an odor that permeates the room. Subtle, but there.
View with clean comfortable room
Views of the river and canyon. Excellent rooms with private patio and a view to delight your eyes. Staff efficient and considerate. All facilities first rate.
Flies in the dining room.... Major negative. Impossible to enjoy meal even with the view and tasty food. Bring groceries unless you love picnics.
Very affordable and located in a spectacular location. Lots of outdoor activity right outside the door. My wife and I will definitely return in the future for a longer stay.
Stunning location with excellent staff and service
Small but relevant nonetheless: need to get cobwebs off ceilings...not very inviting to wake up to in the morning with beautiful sun shinning thru the windows
In our case, your question could rightly ask, "What did you love about Red Cliffs Lodge?", Because we loved it as a whole. The staff were wonderful. Tina (aka, Ephraim *lol*) was such a joy to talk with. Lou (the hostess) was wonderful to us. Leveane (our waitress, twice) was one of the best we've ever known. Our room was beautiful, cleaned every day. Their passion for making it the best lodge was evident in everything.
I only mention one thing because I know they want to only improve. Lose the Farmers Brothers Coffee (lol). It's the bottom of the barrel and is so beneath the caliber of Red Cliffs Lodge.
I love the beautiful rooms and the private porches. Having a kitchen is good since we get there after they close the restaurant. The hot tub is nice and hot and the exercise room is wonderful. The setting is stunning. We try to spend our anniversary there every year.
I always wish that the restaurant were open. This year the winery was closed and we were looking forward to some wine tasting. We were there even earlier this year. We always come the Monday after thanksgiving. We were just hoping that since it was early this year the restaurant would be open. This is the first year that the winery was closed when we arrived.
The staff was friendly.
The rooms were expensive and not very well kept. Cobwebs all over. Cricket and spider in the room. Far away from town.
